How to make Italian Pizza dough step by step:
Pizza dough is the backbone of any good pizza. It’s also
extremely simple recipe—and one that can be mastered in as little as 20
minutes.so if you are looking for a quick and easy way to make your own pizza,
you’ve come to the right place. Here are some important basic steps you need to
follow before making any dough and before making a pizza.
Before you get started, here are 25 basic steps to follow:
1.Start with
a clean countertop and mixing bowl
2.Add the yeast
to the water
3.Add all of
your flour, a little at a time
4.Knead the
dough for about 6 minutes or until it’s smooth and elastic
5.Let the
dough rise for 1-2 hours before shaping it into your desired pizza shape
6.Preheat oven
to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (252 degree Celsius)
7.Place pizza
onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and lets rise for 30 minutes more
8.Bake for
12-18 minutes or until its crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling up from
under the crust
9.Top with
additional toppings of your choice and serve!
10. Measure all
ingredients
11. Mix the
flour and water together in large bowl
12. Pour in the
rest of ingredients, including any fresh herbs or spices you’re using
13. Knead for
about 10 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to get a smooth dough
14. Leave out
to prove for 1-2 hours—the dough will expand by about half its size (even more
if its gets a little warm)
15. Roll out
into your desired shape and thickness
16. Use your
hands to pinch off small pieces of dough for individual pizzas(or use a rolling
pin for larger ones)
17. Bake for
12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through—if it starts getting too
dark too quickly, simply cover with aluminum foil or a lid until it cools down
completely before serving!
18. Measure out
your ingredients and set them aside in a bowl if you don’t have a stand mixer
or hand mixer use electric mixer.
19. Add the
milk, yeast and salt.
20. Mix with a
spoon or your hands until the yeast dissolves into the milk mixture completely.
Don’t worry if it looks slightly lumpy—that’s normal!
21. Cover with
plastic wrap and place in a warm place for about 10 minutes until bubbles start
forming on top of the mixture—this means it’s ready for use!
22. Add enough
flour so that it can be kneaded into a ball shape but not too much so that it
becomes sticky or feels too hard to work with—about 1 tablespoon of flour may
not seems like much but it will help give your dough some elasticity so that it
won’t break when stretched out later down below!
23. Once the
dough has risen enough, remove it from its resting area and divide it into 2-3
parts depending on how many pizzas you will be making (this can very based on
personal preference).
24. Shape each
part into a ball shape before stretching them out into flat circles using your
hands (it may help to use something like parchment paper underneath your hand
so you don’t get any stains on your table or floor).
25. This is
where you will make three separate rounds (or “turns”) of pizza dough without
doing anything else!
